Best and Trustworthy Used Vehicles in Canada

Putting together a list of the best used cars in Canada is kind of our thing since we consider ourselves used vehicle experts. With new car inventory still climbing its way back since the pandemic, Canadians are turning to used vehicles as an option for their new vehicle. Back in the day used cars had this negative stigma that they were cheap, crappy cars that were sold by a cheesy salesperson in some lame suit from a dealership with carnival-type signs and balloons. Don’t get us wrong, those still exist, and so do the same antics of pushing a sale on a customer. There’s also a new way of buying a used car designed with you in mind. You can buy online, in-store or a combination, without having to deal with any pushy salespeople or rundown dealership. It’s called FFUN Cars, and all of the used vehicles we sell have gone through a meticulous 92-point inspection and come with a free CARFAX report. Keep in mind that a vehicle is considered used the minute it drives off the lot, so some of our vehicle’s original warranty is still valid, and if it isn’t, we offer an extended one.

People always want the best, whether in their budget or not. When it comes to purchasing a vehicle, some things need to be considered, such as, what your price range is, if you want an electric car, if you want an SUV, luxury car, or one for hitting the outback. It all comes down to personal choice, and some base their decision on who the automaker is, while others base it on the vehicle’s capabilities, like having third-row seating to accommodate more passengers or if it has all-wheel-drive (AWD). We’re all about helping from a distance, meaning we won’t be in your face about it, so we’ve put together a list of some of the best used cars in Canada.

Honda Accord

If you have ever read a list of top anything in the automotive world, you’ve surely seen the automaker Honda on that list, and for good reason. The Honda Accord came to the market in the late 1970s and has been a customer favourite since then. Being roomier than the Honda Civic, it’s perfect for families. Sure, the original model didn’t have many bells and whistles, but what car did in the 70s? But now, this Honda model has drivetrain options, a hybrid option, and can come in a manual transmission or automatic transmission. If you aren’t fully convinced about the Honda Accord, other great midsize sedans are the Toyota Camry, Hyundai Elantra, and Volkswagen Jetta.

Toyota Corolla

Admittedly, there’s nothing fancy about the Toyota Corolla, but it is still a Toyota, which is arguably one of the best automakers out there. It’s actually rather simplistic in design and has been since its debut in 1966. Just because a vehicle isn’t super fancy, doesn’t mean it can’t make the cut as one of the best compact cars because of its reliability. The Toyota Corolla is known to have low maintenance, great fuel economy, and in recent years has started to offer more options.

Ford Escape

Another well-known brand is Ford. Why wouldn’t it be; Henry Ford did invent the motor vehicle, after all. The Ford Escape is one of the best used hybrids. When you think of the best hybrid vehicle, most people think of the Toyota Prius, and that model deserves recognition since it is the OG of hybrids. One of the main reasons Canadians love the Escape is its compact body and the option of four-wheel-drive, plus being a hybrid makes it more fuel-efficient than other SUVs.

Kia Soul

Since making its appearance in the North American market, Kia has made massive strides in the quality of vehicles they make, which is why the Kia Soul is one of the best used subcompact SUVs to purchase. Not only does it boast a surfer-vibe look and incredible infotainment system, but it also has loads of cargo space and is extremely fuel-efficient. If you aren’t convinced Kia has earned its rankings and aren’t fully converted to being a Kia lover and are a fan of the Japanese automakers, the Toyota Rav4 and Honda CR-V are two great options for a used subcompact SUV.

Chevrolet Suburban

Larger SUVs that can accommodate seven or eight passengers are in high demand and competition. Both the Chevrolet Suburban and GMC Yukon are one of the best used large SUVs available. With independent rear suspension, tons of cargo space, and eight seats, it’s the perfect vehicle for a large family. The unfortunate downside is how much fuel it costs to run it. If you have a big family and need a vehicle with third-row seating, but don’t want to pay the high cost of fuel, you may want to consider a used Honda Pilot or Kia Telluride, both of which have a hybrid option.

Dodge Grand Caravan

There isn’t much talk of minivans since the larger SUVs started making a mark in the auto industry, but there is still a demand for them. The Grand Caravan is one of the only vehicles with Stow n’Go seating to allow for more cargo space in the middle row. Since so many of these models have been produced, parts are easily accessible, making them inexpensive to repair. With families switching to SUVs, there are a fair amount of used Caravans available.

Ford F-150

When you think of pickup trucks, surely Ford, Toyota, RAM, and Nissan all come to mind. The Ford F-150 has remained one of the most popular trucks on the market, used or new. It’s no wonder either, having multiple trim levels and drivetrains. Not to mention they are extremely reliable and in 2015, they became newer and better when Ford switched to military-grade aluminum for the body.

Genesis G90

Who doesn’t love a luxury car without the massive price tag that usually comes with owning one? You asked, and Genesis produced the G90. This vehicle is loaded to the max and is available with a V8 or V6 turbocharged engine and comes with HTRAC AWD. It is absolute luxury, and you can buy them used at a fraction of the cost. Other great options for used luxury cars are any Lexus or Audi vehicles.

Give used vehicles a chance over buying a new one. Whether you want a sports car, hatchback, SUV, or truck, there are way more options available if you look at used ones. Not sure about buying a used car; we’ve got some tips for buying a used car in Canada.

We get it, you don’t want to waste your time driving around looking for the perfect used vehicle. Well, you don’t have to. All you have to do is open your computer and browse our massive inventory of used vehicles. If you fall in love with one, perfect; purchase it from your couch or come visit us in the store; it’s all up to you. If you’re comfy at home, no problem; we’ll deliver it to you - just one of the many benefits of buying a vehicle at FFUN Cars.
